DOBRIS CHATEAU
Rococo Chateau Dobris with its expressive facade catches every visitor coming from Prague to Dobris. Present appearance comes from 1745-65, when Jindrich Pavel Mannsfeld carried out the reconstruction. His daughter Izabella was married with Frantisek Gundakar Colloredo and by this wedding arose aristocrat family Colloredo-Mannsfeld, who lived here till 1942. Then the German army during the Second World War deprived the castle. After the war the castle was confiscated by the Czechoslovak government and was used as House of Artists.
Castle was returned as a private property with French and English park in the year 1998. Present owner of the castle is Jerome Colloredo-Mannsfeld from Austria. Castle is open all year long including exposition and French park. Chateau Dobris is a special place for special events like gala dinners, banquets and receptions. For these events the Mirror Hall with capacity up to 150 people can be mainly used.
