KARLOVY VARY
KARLOVY VARY is the most important Czech spa with a 600-year-long tradition. It has 12 springs used for balneological purposes. The best-known among them is called Vøídlo (Geyser) with a temperature of 72.2°Celsius. For more information on the town, see the chapter "West Bohemia".
Indication: Disorders of the liver and gall bladder and diseases of the stomach and intestines. In addition, some hotels offer complex relaxation programmes and slimming cures.
Spa treatment: Drinking local mineral water, special diets, baths in mineral water, whirpool baths, underwater massage, electrotherapy, traditional massage and other treatments.
