ST. JAMES MONASTERY
St. James Monastery is located in Prague´s Old Town area, on the corner of Stupartska and Jakubska Street, together with the Church of St. James alluded to as early as 12th century. The monastery and church are among the most interesting historical monuments in Prague, where architectural style from Gothic to High Baroque intermingles.
In the year 1311, the coronation of John of Luxembourg as King of Bohemia took place in the monastery, as did his marriage to Eliska Premyslovna, the mother of Charles IV. These important events took place in the Coronation Hall and the John of Luxembourg Hall, which have now been reconstructed and are ready to offer their inimitable charm for your own social events.
