TEPLICE - the spa town is located in the north-west Bohemia, between the massif of the Krušné hory mountains (Ore Mountains) and the picturesque hills of the Bohemian Middlemountains. The well known spa centre with great tradition belongs to the eldest European spas. At the time of its greatest development the prominent personages of dipolomacy, science and art used to meet there /Beethoven, Goethe, Chopin, Humboldt, Schopenhauer etc./ Due to many green parks, beautiful fountains, lakes, arbors and picturesque spa houses the city used to be called ‘small Paris’.There are a lot of interesting historical sights including castle founded in 15^th century with rests of roman basilique from 12^th century in the courtyard, church of St. John the Baptist completed in baroque style in 1703, baroque column of appeal for cessation of the plaque ba M.B. Braun from 1719, the classicistic New Spa where Russian czar Petr Veliký lived and many others.
