Restaurant Michal is situated in one of the oldest parts of historical Prague on the right bank of Vltava River in Náprstkova Street, only a few steps from the stone archways of Charles Bridge. The restaurant building was rebuilt in art Nouveau style in the second half of the 19th century, but the interior suggests that its roots go back to the early Gothic period. In the interior of the restaurant you can find historical folk costumes and contemporary paintings of local painters. In the evenings, there is a performance of live folklore show, featuring dulcimer band and dancers, wearing the traditional folk costumes. Restaurant offers very typical Czech dishes (roasted duck with cabbage, stewed beef with creamy sauce and dumplings or roasted pork) as well as international cuisine, light meals or vegetarian dishes. All meals are cooked only using genuine fresh ingredients and fragrant herbs. As a perfect accompaniment, restaurant serves a wide range of high quality and carefully selected wines of Moravian vineyards, Czech beer and a variety of aperitifs and top shelf spirits, of course.
