The house of Prague Hlahol was built in 1905 for choir’s rehearsals. The money came solely from gifts of the members and supporters of the ensemble. Architect’s Schaffer and Fanta made the plans and decorations; the interior of Great Hall was supplemented in 1921 by the last great work of Alfons Mucha - lunette "The Song".

Architectonic, the building is reckoned among the finest "Art Nouveau" monuments of its kind. The embankment front is embellished by two large mosaics and the original carved door, the renovated back facade is characteristic by its large golden inscription Hlahol.

Many cultural and social events are held in Hlahol`s rooms, e.g. The Cycle of Wednesdays Concerts which give chance to particularly young and promising artists, but in which successful musical ensembles of Prague musical scene perform, too.
